The Alexander Girard Mural Project

This project involves the restoration, reveal and exhibition of the Girard House Mural, created by mid-century designer, Alexander Girard during the summer of 1952 for the exterior dining terrace of his personal residence located at 222 Lothrop Road in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI. The sponsors are Mary Roby, the owner of the mural and Art Impact Connect.

National Trust for Historic Preservation, Council Weekend – Detroit

National Trust for Historic Preservation hosted its National Trust Council Weekend in Detroit and featured a tour and discussion of the preservation and restoration of the McLucas House (1950 Grosse Pointe Farms), the sole-surviving private residence designed by midcentury legend Alexander Girard.
